This is a non-executive role, which involves running projects to design and develop new technologies and techniques for use by the NHS and Pharmaceutical Industry. This includes developing new methods of working; improving accuracy while increasing performance through automation.
This involves taking existing working practices and, through the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP programming and SQL databases, automating the creation of websites and PDF reports to illustrate past and current performance of the treatment of patients, as well as the financial implications of improved performance.
An example would be the speeding up the mass production of PDF reports, from anonymised data extracted directly from various Clinical Systems within GP practices, in text format, from the original 2½ hours of manual work in Excel, to less than 30 seconds. This means that a report can be created while a representative is still inside inside a GP practice; offering immediate feedback.
Responsible for overhauling of the group's online presence; raising their websites in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), introducing interactive user interfaces (UI) and improving the overall user experience (UX).
